I am completely loving my life in London. There are tasty new restaurants popping up (precisely) every 3 seconds, David Beckham and Tom Cruise get crunk at my local and European long weekends are like an actual doable thing. I have found a coffee place that whips up a truly amazing flat white (just like those round the corner from my pad in Auckland). I have got a pretty sweet Skype schedule sorted with the perfect rotation of family and friends and I even have a flipping awesome job that surrounds me with rather fabulous clothes ALL DAY LONG.

But there is still a hole in my heart. A hole that can only be filled by a gorgeous dress shaped package sent from the other side of the world.

Aka something (anything) from Ruby.

I tried to fill this void somehow by loosing myself in their latest collection, spring/summer 2014 (and boy did that not work). All it did was make me realise that this kiwi company is continuing to go from strength to strength. Managing to both hon their look and style into a clearly recognisable Ruby statement, whilst simultaneously growing and extend themselves season after season. (And usually with some sell out capsule collections thrown in between).

I literally couldn’t cut this collection down to a few favourites, because I want my entire wardrobe to be filled with these classic checked shirts, perfect playsuits and wide brimmed hats.

Spring sees snakeskin galore, oversized magenta knits and and (simply divine) grey box coats. Soon to be followed by summers block colour bikinis (a Ruby first), all white everything and floaty feminine florals.

This collection begins to hit stores and online this Saturday (the 12th).

And I’m ready. Oh so ready.

Ready, steady, shop.
